Will an apple wireless keyboard work with my ipad?

Will a apple wireless keyboard work with my ipad?
I am running iOS 3.2 (jailbroken) and from what I read

the ipad can pair up with Apple keyboards as they are

bluetooth. But my biggest question is what iOS is

needed for this to work? I don't wnat to update to the

newest iOS just for this as I'll lose my jailbreak.
